Description
The AMS Feeder Unit is specially designed for use in Bambu Lab's AMS system to support printing with multiple colours and materials. Each AMS module has four of these feeder units. Each unit is equipped with its own motor and gearbox to actively feed the filament towards the print head or rewind it back onto the spool if required.
An integrated sensor recognises the insertion of the filament. As soon as the filament is loaded, the feeder unit automatically pulls it in. If the material is to be fed back onto the spool, the feeder unit drives the drive sleeve of the AMS and winds up the filament in a controlled manner.
