Description

With colorFabb varioShore TPU, users can vary the density of the material by adjusting the temperature and the material flow (speed and layer height).

At temperatures between 200 and 250°C, the materials begin to expand to 1.4-1.6 times their original volume. This means that the material can be printed at low flow rates (60-70%) to compensate for active foaming, which in turn results in very soft parts.

Between 190 and 200°C, the material can be printed without foaming, which leads to a different feel and harder printing compared to foamed samples.

The base TPU is a 92A material that works with most standard extruder settings for Bowden and direct drive systems. It is advised to use standard TPU settings as the basic setting for developing your own default settings. Make sure that the distance between the nozzle and the platform is not too small, especially if the material is foamed during the printing process.
